State of the School Address

The 2009-2010 State of the School Address will take place on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 in the Kennedy Gymnasium from 7:00 – 9:00 PM. The new Strategic Plan will be unveiled to the community for the first time and details will be provided about specific initiatives for this year.   This is a very important event, with crucial information about the future direction of the school, and all families should make every effort to attend.  School directories will be available at that time.

One Stone members from the high school will provide babysitting.  Please email Teresa Poppen (tpoppen@msn.com) to register.

See you all there.

Gd 8 Video Conference with Bogota

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

This morning Grade 8 students had their first Video Conference with Colegio CIEDI in Bogota. This was designed to be the ice-breaker session in the collaborative project in which students introduced themselves by telling two truths and a lie.
Our student introduced themselves and asked questions in Spanish and French while Colegio CIEDI tested their English skills.
I have to say that I was highly impressed with both sets of students and I am very proud of our Grade 8 students for making such a great effort in both Spanish and French.
Well done everyone!
