Overview of Giving
At Riverstone International School, we invest in what matters most - our students.
Gifts from families past and present, friends, staff, and alumni enable us to provide
an unparalleled education for our students based on the five pillars of our educational
philosophy: academic excellence, international understanding, community and service,
leadership by example, and outdoor education. Now entering our 15th year, Riverstone
International School celebrates our many community members who have contributed time,
expertise, and resources to our school. The daily experiences of our students are enhanced
thanks to your generosity and kindness.
Annual Auction Auction and 50/50 Tuition Raffle tickets now available online
CELEBRATE WITH US!
Parents and friends of the school are invited to celebrate the school's successes and engage in friendly, competitive bidding at this year's Annual Auction scheduled for Saturday, March 3, 2012. Student-created art projects, dinner, delectable desserts, live music, and dancing are highlights of the evening. The proceeds fund critical programs such as the International Baccalaureate Programmes, outdoor education, and facilities development.
DONATIONS AND AUCTION SPONSORSHIPS
Donations of services, experiences and items are always much appreciated. Special dinners, weekend getaways, guided trips, and family experiences are always popular items, as well as gift baskets, electronics, and event tickets.
Please help the auction committee by delivering your donation to the Elementary School front desk by Tuesday, Feburary 7, 2012. You may download a donation form here.
Sponsorship opportunities are available. Sponsors receive ten tickets to the event, premium seating, and advertising privileges. The perks get better as you move up the sponsorship levels.
- The Tiffany $5,000 (preferred seating for 10, grand finale dessert, full-page advertising and souvenirs)
- The Baccarat $3,000 (preferred seating for 10, grand finale dessert, half-page advertising)
- The Swarovski $1,500 (preferred seating for 10, quarter-page advertising)

TICKETS & TEACHER SPONSORSHIPS
Tickets to the auction and the opportunity to sponsor a teacher's ticket are available online.
The cost is $85 per ticket and includes your choice of three entrees:
- Grilled Salmon with Ginger Beurre Blanc
- Tri-Pepper Beef Tenderloin Filet
- Roasted Vegetable Napoleon
THE 50/50 TUITION RAFFLE 50/50 Tuition Raffle tickets now available online
The 50/50 Tuition Raffle drawing will be held on March 3 at the Riverstone Crystal Ball. Winner need not be present to win.
- The school guarantees a minimum winning prize amount of $2500 with 100 tickets or fewer sold.
- Proceeds from tickets sold beyond 100 will additionally be split with the winner, 50/50.
- The number of raffle tickets offered will be capped at 300 tickets; if all 300 are sold, the winner receives $7,500 and the school earns $7,500!
50/50 Tuition Raffle tickets will be sold from Friday, February 3 - Friday March 2.
* Rules and regulations: Prize to be paid directly to ANY tuition-based school, college or university located and accredited in the U.S. (Includes pre-k, k-12, or any mix of these.) Up to two students may be designated by the prize-winner to receive the tuition award and the award must be used for the 2012-2013 academic year. The winner may designate self, relatives, friends or a financially needy student at Riverstone International School recommended by the Financial Aid Committee. Prize is not redeemable for cash. The cost of a raffle ticket is not deductible for federal income tax purposes. Prize is taxable as income. Raffle winner may be subject to gambling winnings reporting and/or income tax withholding. VOLUNTEER
Volunteering to assist the auction committee is greatly appreciated. Preparing items for the silent and live auction, setting up for the event, and cleaning up after the event are some of the ways that parents may assist.

Annual Fund
INSPIRING LIVES
The Annual Fund is one of the most important elements of our fundraising efforts at Riverstone. When you invest in the Annual Fund, you are investing in our programs, our facilities, our teachers, and ultimately, our students’ education. A few of the top priorities for the proceeds from the 2011 Annual Fund campaign include providing professional development for our staff, replacing and upgrading our transportation options, maintaining and improving facilities, and investing in our Outdoor Education Program.
Our goal for the current campaign, Inspiring Lives, is $200,000 with 100% participation from our families, staff, and Board of Trustees.
We recognize that current economic climate remains a challenge for individuals and institutions, and Riverstone is no exception. Even while looking forward to future opportunities, it has never been more important for us to focus on the people and programs that define our school today. Your gift to the 2011 Riverstone Annual Fund is an investment in the current generation of Riverstone students as they experience all our school has to offer – building skills, memories, and friendships that will last a lifetime.

New this year, we are introducing personalized Giving Levels whose names are the contributing portions of a river and reflect Riverstone’s many connections to the waterways of Idaho. Ultimately, the source, headwaters, tributaries, and other waters combine to form a powerful river, much like the manner in which every member of our community contributes to create the institution that we proudly call Riverstone International School. We felt that this metaphor truly captures the spirit of who we are as a collective group.
