Extracurricular Activities in the Elementary School

Extending fun and learning beyond the school day

In the Elementary School, students often participate in extracurricular activities that take place both before and after school. There are four sessions of activities that change depending on the session and several that last throughout the school year. Riverstone staff lead many of the activities, but some may be taught by non-school staff.

We purposefully keep fees low so as many students as possible may participate.

Examples may include:

  • Choir
  • Chess club
  • Climbing club
  • Fencing
  • Knitting
  • Keyboarding
  • Lacrosse

We also offer before- and after-school care that can be combined with student activities. If a student is enrolled in an after-school activity, parents may take advantage of our after-care services until 5:30 p.m. on the day of the activity at no extra charge. Read more about before- and after-care on the School Services page.
