Clubs

Every student belongs to one of our 30+ clubs, from Model UN and Forensics to the Anglers Club, with 100% participation across campus. Each group is challenged to identify opportunities for service, connecting personal interests to real-world impact and fostering creativity, leadership, and collaboration.

Grants

Each year, faculty, staff, and students apply for grants that spark innovative learning, support personal growth, enhance campus projects, and strengthen community engagement. These grants, made possible through the generosity of families, community partners, and foundations, help bring new ideas to life, support local organizations, provide resources for those in need, and empower students to make a meaningful impact beyond the classroom.

Community Garden

At Riverstone, we believe that education and service go hand in hand. Our students graduate with more than academic knowledge; they leave with a strong sense of responsibility, leadership, and commitment to others. By engaging in community service throughout their time at Riverstone, they learn that meaningful action begins with seeing a need, stepping forward, and working together to create positive change.

Purpose Beyond the Classroom

Community and service learning at Riverstone is intentionally woven through every grade level, empowering students to engage meaningfully with local and global communities while developing empathy, responsibility, and leadership. Beginning in the Early School with curriculum-linked service—such as PreK adopting a family through the Women’s and Children’s Alliance, Primary School partnerships with organizations like the Idaho Humane Society, and elementary students connecting with local seniors—students steadily build awareness and action. These experiences deepen in Middle School through biannual Service Days focused on environmental sustainability and community support and culminate in Grade 8 with the MYP Community Project, where students independently identify a community need, take action, and present their learning at the annual Community Project Expo. In High School, students extend this commitment through sustained service, leadership opportunities, and CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) experiences, applying their passions to real-world impact while balancing academics and personal growth. Schoolwide initiatives, including experiential service projects and the Green Team’s ongoing environmental efforts, reinforce a culture of service that prepares students to be thoughtful, engaged citizens beyond Riverstone.
