Our Approach
Athletic Opportunities
Athletics are an important part of the Riverstone experience, providing students opportunities to build confidence, leadership skills, teamwork, and lifelong friendships. Our High School teams compete at the 2A classification through the Idaho High School Activities Association (IHSAA), with Elementary and Middle School students also participating in a variety of team sports.
Riverstone offers High School and Middle School teams in basketball, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, and orienteering, with Middle School also offering cross country and track and field. Our Otters have celebrated success through state tournament appearances, all-conference honors, and recent 2026 Academic State Championships for both Boys and Girls Basketball.
For students seeking additional competitive opportunities, Riverstone supports connections with local clubs and public school programs, allowing approximately 20% of students in Grades 9–12 to compete at the IHSAA 6A level in sports including soccer, baseball, softball, golf, lacrosse, football, tennis, wrestling, hockey, dance, rock climbing, biking, and more.
Whether competing as an Otter or through a community partnership, students learn the value of commitment, integrity, resilience, and belonging.
