BUDDIES

Riverstone’s Buddy Program strengthens community and develops leadership by connecting students across grade levels, from Preschool through Grade 12. Through weekly interactions, students build meaningful relationships through shared activities such as reading together, collaborative projects, outdoor learning experiences, and creative performances. Younger students gain comfort, confidence, and a sense of belonging, while older students develop empathy, responsibility, and leadership by example. Together, these connections foster a supportive, inclusive school culture where students feel seen, valued, and connected.

Student Council

Riverstone’s Student Council program provides leadership opportunities for students across multiple grade levels, empowering them to take an active role in shaping school culture and community life. In High School, elected Student Council leaders plan and run student events such as dances and socials, support Parent Association–led community events, manage weekly student communications, and lead bi-monthly assemblies. In Grades 1–5, students meet weekly for Student Council to build leadership skills, collaboration, and student voice at an early age. Together, Student Council experiences foster responsibility, organization, communication, and a strong sense of ownership in the Riverstone community.

Student Ambassadors

Riverstone’s Student Ambassador program empowers Middle and High School students to serve as leaders and representatives of the school community. Ambassadors support the admissions process by leading campus tours, connecting with new and prospective students, and helping ensure a smooth transition to Riverstone through orientation programs. They also represent the school at community events and outreach opportunities, sharing their personal experiences with prospective families and helping build meaningful connections beyond campus. Through this role, students develop confidence, communication skills, and leadership while serving as authentic voices of the Riverstone experience.

Community & Clubs

Riverstone students across all grade levels engage in clubs and community connections that support academic learning, personal growth, and meaningful leadership. From Elementary through High School, students participate in age-appropriate clubs and service opportunities that encourage collaboration, responsibility, and giving back. As students progress, these experiences deepen into student-led initiatives, school and community partnerships, and purposeful service projects that connect learning to real-world impact. Whether supporting younger students, serving local organizations, or advocating for causes they care about, Riverstone students develop their voices, discover their passions, and learn that leadership is rooted in community, service, and action.
