Tuition Assistance & Scholarships

We believe that an education at Riverstone should be accessible to students of all socio-economic backgrounds. Each year, in order to foster diversity, the Board of Trustees allocates funds to financial awards so that we may recruit and retain qualified students, regardless of their families’ ability to pay full tuition.

Any financial awards offered by Riverstone International School are grants and do not have to be repaid. In total, about one-third of our students receive tuition assistance and scholarships.

Please contact our Enrollment Office at admissions@riverstoneschool.org with any questions or for more information.

The Riverstone International School tuition assistance program is designed to make a Riverstone International School education possible for all families based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds. Riverstone International School is proud to use the Clarity Application to determine a family’s level of financial need.

To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is also mobile-friendly, so you can complete it from anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, there is a $65 fee to submit, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity Application for no additional charge. Simply use the dropdown menu in the application to select those schools. Clarity will be using an Enhanced Tax Verification process this year. Access Clarity’s Resource Library and read more here.

Please remember to return to your dashboard after you complete and submit your Clarity Application, as Riverstone International School requires you to upload additional tax documentation, including your most recent tax year Form 1040 and W-2 Forms.

In order for Riverstone to review your eligibility for financial aid and determine your potential award, you must complete both the Riverstone school application and the Clarity financial aid application. We’re only able to assess financial aid once both applications have been submitted in full.

Clarity hosts several Application Information Webinars for families. All families who plan to apply for Tuition Assistance on Clarity are welcome to attend any of these webinars. A recording will be available to you after each webinar.

Families should start their admissions and tuition assistance applications early. Financial awards are re-evaluated annually, and current families must apply each year for consideration. Current families should conclude the application process by December 15, 2025.

If you need support during the process of completing your application, there is in-app support available through the “Help” button in the bottom left of the screen, as well as email and phone support at support@clarityapp.com or 206-210-3752, in both English and Spanish. The application itself is also fully translated into Spanish.

New students who are applying for admissions are encouraged to apply for scholarships, in addition to tuition assistance, while completing their admissions application.

We currently offer the following scholarships:

  • Malone Family Foundation Scholarship
  • Alexandra Frizzell Memorial Scholarship
  • Riverstone International School Boarding Merit Scholarship

Riverstone International School was selected by the Malone Family Foundation as the only school in Idaho to fund scholarships for students who show enthusiasm and motivation for academic excellence and whose families demonstrate financial need. The Foundation has established these scholarships to provide an opportunity for students to reap the benefits of attending a private independent school who may not otherwise have the opportunity to do so.

The amount of the scholarship will vary according to the family’s financial need as determined by the financial award process. Malone Scholars will continue to receive funding throughout their time at Riverstone, as long as they remain in good academic standing.
