Christian was born and raised in rural Louisiana. After graduating from Louisiana State University with a degree in Creative Writing and a minor in French, she began working in classrooms, outdoor science schools, and national parks across the country. While teaching at the Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired, she developed a commitment to individualized instruction and student support. She was thrilled to discover Riverstone in 2019, as she could share her passion for both classroom teaching and outdoor education. In May of 2023, she received her M.A. in Education, with a cognate in Special Education. Alongside her role as a Grade 6 English and Humanities teacher, she is also a doctoral student at Boise State University, where she works with future educators while pursuing a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.
