Stacey Walker
High School Director and Head of Academics
Stacey Walker is a passionate, lifelong educator committed to equipping students to be global citizens. Stacey was the founding principal at Gem Prep: Nampa, a K-4 charter school that has grown to serve students in grades K-12, the secondary principal at Gem Prep: Online, and, before that, an Elementary Teacher at Riverstone International School! During the last six years within the Gem Prep Charter Management Organization, Stacey has supported the growth of the organization from two to seven schools, developed clear systems to sustain high expectations and community, and, most recently, led Gem Prep: Online to be in the top ten schools in the state based on the Idaho Reading Indicator and Idaho Standards Achievement Test. Stacey is excited to build roots in the Riverstone community as the High School Director and a parent with her eldest son joining the school this year. Stacey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, with an internship at an International School in South Korea and a Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership. During her free time, Stacey enjoys adventures with her two young boys, Dylan and Henry, binge-watching shows with her husband, Justin, and organizing anything and everything.
