Frequently Asked Questions

Does receiving financial aid affect my child’s admission decision?2025-12-12T11:33:33-07:00

No. Admission decisions at Riverstone are made independently of financial aid considerations. We review all applications based on whether a student is a good fit for our community, not on a family’s ability to pay full tuition.

We strongly encourage all families to apply for financial aid, regardless of their income level. Many factors beyond income are considered in our financial aid decisions, and approximately one-third of our students receive some form of financial assistance.

What payment plans are available, and when are tuition payments due?2025-12-12T11:37:20-07:00

We offer three payment options to fit your family’s needs:

  • Single payment: Pay tuition in full before your student starts school
  • Two payments: Split tuition into two installments, paid in July and November (2% finance fee applies)
  • Ten monthly payments: Spread tuition across ten months, paid July through April (5% finance fee applies)

Many families take advantage of our payment plan options. You can select your preferred payment plan during the enrollment process. Payment plans may be available for mid-year enrollment at the discretion of the Enrollment Team and Finance Controller.

Is there a sibling discount? How is this considered in financial aid packages?2025-12-12T13:53:32-07:00

While we don’t offer an automatic sibling discount, families with multiple children enrolled at Riverstone are given special consideration in our financial aid review process. When you complete your financial aid application through Clarity, the total cost of educating all your children at Riverstone is factored into our assessment of your family’s demonstrated need.

We understand that tuition for multiple students represents a significant investment, and our financial aid committee carefully reviews each family’s complete situation to provide the most support possible.

Can I use the Idaho Parental Choice Tax Credit (HB93)?2026-01-08T16:19:20-07:00

The credit allows families to receive up to $5,000 per eligible student back on their Idaho state taxes for qualified nonpublic school expenses. For complete eligibility requirements and how to claim this credit, please visit the Idaho HB93 FAQ page.

We encourage families to consult with a tax professional to understand how these programs apply to your specific situation and to maximize the benefits available to your family.

Are there additional fees beyond tuition?2025-12-12T13:55:00-07:00

Does financial aid need to be reapplied for each year?2025-12-12T14:03:59-07:00

Yes, financial aid requires annual renewal through the Clarity platform. We’re committed to consistency and partnership with our families, and this allows us to ensure your aid package reflects any changes in your family’s financial circumstances.

What if our financial situation changes throughout the year?2025-12-15T13:33:11-07:00

We understand that financial circumstances can change unexpectedly due to job loss, medical expenses, family emergencies, or other unforeseen events. If your family experiences a significant change in financial circumstances during the school year, please contact our Enrollment team as soon as possible.

We will do our best to work with you, as our goal is to ensure that students can continue their education at Riverstone even when families face financial challenges.

Who reviews financial aid applications, and how is my information kept confidential?2025-12-15T13:32:56-07:00

All financial aid applications are submitted through Clarity, a secure third-party platform designed specifically for school financial aid management. Clarity ensures full transparency in the application process while protecting your family’s financial information. Your personal information is automatically redacted from the forms you submit through the platform.

For families with complex financial situations, our partners at Mission Enrollment hand-review applications to ensure fair and accurate assessment of demonstrated need. Mission Enrollment also handles any appeals to financial aid decisions.

Your financial information is always kept strictly confidential and is never shared with anyone outside the financial aid review team.
