Mare Ditty

Grade 3 Teacher

Mare has spent most of my life living in Utah, Southern California, and Idaho, and she loves discovering new places and learning about different cultures. Her travels have taken her through Japan, Korea, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and both Eastern and Western Europe. These experiences have strengthened Mare’s appreciation for diverse perspectives and the value of lifelong learning, which she enjoys sharing with her students.
Mare earned her bachelor’s degree in Family & Consumer Studies, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of Utah. She later completed a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix and earned her teaching credential from the University of La Verne in Southern California. In her classrooms, she strives to create an environment where curiosity drives learning. She believes children learn best when they feel safe to ask questions, explore new ideas, and think critically. Her goal is to help each student grow not only academically but also in confidence, independence, and a genuine love of learning.
When she’s not in the classroom, you’ll often find her outdoors enjoying nature and making time for daily exercise. She also loves reading and is almost always in the middle of a good book. With her husband, she has three wonderful children, ages 15 to 24, who keep life exciting and full of new experiences. She looks forward to getting to know the students and families at Riverstone International School and partnering with you to make this a fun, engaging, and successful year of learning.
