Joy was born and raised in Texas but also lived in Utah and Montana before moving to Boise in 2002. After having a wide variety of jobs including (but not limited to) insurance adjustor, toy store manager, volunteer coordinator and park ranger, she became a secondary math teacher in 2011. She taught high school and middle school for 6 years in the Boise School District, then fulfilled a lifetime dream of living abroad, teaching high school for 3 years in Abu Dhabi and most recently 3 years of middle school in Israel. Joy is delighted to join Riverstone as she returns to Boise and is looking forward to having four seasons and skiing at Bogus Basin once again. Her passion for history, travel and Texas Longhorn football continue to fill her free time. She holds a BA in Business Administration from Trinity University, an BS in Mathematics Education from Boise State University, and an MA in Educational Technology from Michigan State University.
