Kendall Roper

HS PE, Student Counsel Teacher, and Assistant Athletics Director

Kendall was born and raised in Caney, Kansas. After graduating high school, he earned his Associate’s degree from Coffeyville Community College on a football scholarship. Kendall has several friends and family who work in education who helped him discover his love for teaching. He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education from the University of Kansas with an endorsement in Journalism. While in Kansas, he coached high school football and middle school track and taught grades 6-12 for six years before moving to Boise in 2017 with his wife Brittany, whom he married in 2012. He became a father to his son in 2018. After two years of being the head golf coach and an English teacher at Meridian High School, he discovered Riverstone and began working here in 2019 as the MYP PE and Design instructor teaching all students in grades 6-10. Mr. Roper now serves as our high school PE teacher and actively assists with the outdoor education program, student council, and as a backup bus driver. In the hours outside of school, Kendall is usually traveling the U.S., at their playhouse near Cascade, skiing, mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking, rafting, playing different recreational sports, or simply soaking up every precious moment he can supporting his wife and son in their endeavors.
