Sydney Bergen
MYP Design Teacher and Student Travel Coordinator
Sydney was born and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho. After graduating from Northwest Nazarene University with a degree in Biology, she began working for outdoor science schools all over the country. While living in Louisiana, Sydney started teaching elementary school where she discovered her love for teaching was just as much in the classroom as in the great outdoors. After moving back to Idaho in 2019, she was lucky enough to become a part of the Riverstone community, officially joining the staff in 2020. One of Sydney’s roles in the community in addition to being an educator is being Riverstone’s Student Travel Coordinator. Sydney has seven years of leading and planning educational travel with companies such as G Adventures and National Geographic. In the summers, you probably can’t find Sydney–as she is usually all over the United States working as a tour guide through national parks and major cities. When you can find her, she is more than likely hanging out with her cats, out on a hike, or enjoying the company of her close friends and family.
