Therese Francomb

HS & DP Chemistry Teacher

Therese grew up in the Pacific Northwest. Feeling inspired to see the world and serve a higher purpose, she attended the US Military Academy (West Point), majored in chemistry & life sciences, and served in the Army’s Medical Service Corps for 5 years. After serving in Germany (with a deployment to Kosovo) and Texas, Therese settled in Colorado and returned to civilian life, which she dedicated to raising her own three children and teaching English as a second language. She later transitioned to become a high-school science teacher and earned an M.S. in Natural Sciences Education from Colorado State University. Therese will be joining the Riverstone School from Vermont where she currently teaches at Burr and Burton Academy. In her free time, Therese enjoys reading, running, cycling, skiing (both up and downhill) and being an active community member. She is so excited to be back in the Northwest at a school full of dedicated educators focused on an inspiring mission.
