Priya Murali

PYP Coordinator

Meet Priya – a passionate and experienced IB PYP educator from Bangalore, India, with over a decade of working in IB schools. After spending some time in sunny California, she was curious to experience a different slice of the U.S. and found herself drawn to the natural beauty (and yes, the famous potatoes!) of Idaho.
Priya’s journey in education has been deeply rewarding. She’s held several leadership roles in IB schools back home in India and is currently a Programme Leader with the IB Educator Network. Her focus has always been on fostering inquiry-based learning, mentoring teachers, and helping students take meaningful action in their learning. Her dedication to lifelong learning even earned her the IB Award in 2021, thanks to her thesis that beautifully aligned with the IB Mission.
She holds a Master’s in International Education from the University of Bath, along with an IB Educator Certificate, and has played an active role in curriculum development and professional learning communities—often leading workshops and training sessions for fellow educators.
Outside of school, Priya enjoys quilting, knitting, and diving into books that get her thinking about education in new ways. Being part of a globally minded, student-centered community is something she truly values, and she’s looking forward to contributing in every way she can.
