Handbooks
It has been wonderful seeing so many familiar and new faces these past few days at the Back to School parties.
As you know, we have just completed a comprehensive strategic planning process that will guide the school through the next five to seven years. One of the most important findings of that process was the need for better communication and education about the structure and philosophy of the International Baccalaureate programs, and the unique, structured and articulated way in which they are implemented at Riverstone.
As a central part of that process, we have created a new, more comprehensive set of handbooks designed to give you more information about modern pedagogical research and its implementation at Riverstone.
The full set includes:
· The Parent and Student Handbook
· The Elementary School Handbook
· The Middle Years Programme Handbook
· The High School Handbook
· The Outdoor Program Guide
It is important to us that you take the time to familiarize yourself with all the relevant handbooks since the better informed you are, the better advocates you will become for your child(ren) and the school.
If you do not yet have the relevant handbooks, please contact Robyn Olnes or Kathleen Gilton at the school.
More will be available at the State of the School address on Wednesday September 23, at 7pm
