Congratulations to the 11 Riverstone Middle and High School students who competed at the Idaho State National History Day competition at the College of Idaho this past weekend. The theme was Debate & Diplomacy in History: Successes, Failures, Consequences. Our students represented themselves well, answering questions about their entries and sharing their perspective on their historical topic. Of those 11, five students placed first or second in their category and are eligible to compete at the national competition in Washington, D.C. this June!

**Bayard B (Gr 9) won first place in the Senior Individual Documentary category. Additionally, he won the $10,000 College of Idaho scholarship.

**Elena S (Gr 10) won first place the Senior Individual Exhibit category. She won the $5,000 College of Idaho scholarship. Additionally, the Idaho State Historical Museum wants to display her work!

**Drew K (Gr 9) won first place in the Senior Individual Website category.

**Erik G (Gr 9) won second place in the Senior Individual Website category.

**Carter G (Gr 7) won second place in the Junior Individual Exhibit category.

Lucas (Gr 10) won third place in the Senior Individual Historical Paper category.

Thank you to Humanities teacher, Andy Johnson, for his support and guidance these past five months as students researched their topics and prepared their entries!
