The Apprentice Showcase

The Apprentice Showcase, the annual wrap up to 10 weeks of intense acting instruction and backstage work on Idaho Shakespeare Festival productions, was held last night to a packed house at the ISF ampitheatre. This past spring, four Riverstone seniors auditioned and were selected to take part in the 11 member high school group, which is quite an honor.

The show was fantastic! A summer of hard work was clearly evident in the fast moving show that mixed traditional Shakespeare with singing and dancing, “60 seconds of fame” snippets, and scenes with the ISF professional actors.

We are thrilled that Renee Knappenberger, ISF Director of Education who has built an amazing theatre education program in the area, also serves as Riverstone’s IB Drama instructor.

It was also pretty cool to see a hillside full of classmates, as well as teachers and parents sprinkled throughout the crowd, cheering on the actors.

Bravo to all the Apprentices!
