The title of this blog entry (a quote from A Midsummer Night’s Dream) might describe a parent’s reaction had he or she stumbled across last week’s River Camps Advisory event for Middle and High School students! Advisory groups were challenged, in one afternoon, to create and perform a skit from a well known Shakespeare passage. But it wasn’t so simple. Advisory groups were required to include elements such as a hat, a cell phone, a lines translated into a language other than English, a cameo from one of the staff advisors, a sign with one of the IB learner profiles, and 100% participation of all advisory members. The results were creative, funny, and oh-so Riverstone!
Performances were held in the library and gym. Students voted on their favorites and the winner: the Payettes! Congratulations!
