During their “Sharing the Planet” Unit of Inquiry, the Preschool students explored the central idea that by reducing, reusing, recycling, renewing, and respecting our environment, we help to protect it. Each student brought in fabric from something they already owned and no longer used, to be recycled and reused to make this quilt. Special thank you to Barbara Greenwood, a Riverstone grandmother, who kindly assembled and sewed the pieces, and then oh-so-patiently helped the students tie all the knots.
The other kids in the class, while not working on the quilt, were having fun practicing alphabet yoga!
